Let's Meet...and Practice Posting Comments

So I thought it would be a good idea for us to meet....even though it's online. AND it would give everyone the chance to view and comment on the blog before we get started with the study.

Here's what I had in mind.....your name, age, where you live, what you do, and a little about yourself. Feel free to be brief...or write as much as you like. If you don't want too write anything about yourself.....or leave out any details (like your age : ).....that's ok too!!

If you have any questions, you can email me at......

  3. Melanie Smith...a 33 year old Wife to Scott for 5 years and a Mommy to Isaac-4, Eric-2, & Lauren-6 months. We live in Leesburg, VA.

I have participated in several Bible studies, however I haven't been able to attend one in the last 2 years....seems being a Wife and Mom of 3 have kept me so busy. But I have missed not only doing the study, but also the interaction with other ladies.

So, the idea of doing an online study came to me one evening. I think it should work with just about anyones schedule...since you can participate any time of the day you want!! AND it should be great being able to interact w/ all of you from all over the world!! I guess we will see how it goes :) this is new for me as well, so we will learn as we go.

  4. HI! I am Angela Biggs. Melanie is my daugher. My other daughter is Cindy Crissman, who has posted her comments. I am so very excited to be able to participate in a Bible study with my 2 daughters. Would not have thought this possible since we do not live in the same city!!!

I am retired from 26 years of teaching high school. I am staying quite busy with being able to visit back & forth between Lex, KY & Leesburg, VA! I live in Greenup, KY with my husband of 40 years.

I have done one Beth Moore Bible study & was so challegened by it. I like the idea of the online study as I can sit down anytime & read what others have posted and/or posts thoughts & questions I have.

  5. Hi, I'm Josephine Taylor. I just turned 36 last Friday andam still basking in the glow of a great weekend in Paris. I'm just so thankful everyday for what GOD is doing in my life. I'm able to experience things I never thought I would, like climbing to he top of the Eiffel tower. Things are just awesome right now. I'm so grateful that Melanie had the foresight to start this Bible study as I've been looking for one for years but scheduling has been tough. Daily I realize that all it takes is a whisper in HIS ear, asking for something and he will fulfill the need. I hope my book gets here this week. :>)

  10. I wrote probably more than anyone cares to read last night and did something wrong so I'll try again, this time. Short, to the point and figure out if I know what I'm doing. I'm in a little town, Argillite, KY near Greenbo Lake State Park. I am married 35 years. I don't tell my age but I was married very very young:) I enjoy Bible studies above all my interests. Getting together with women of same mind and talking about these issues I'm in my element. I love talking to women and talking about the things a study brings about. I love getting close to women that way. But I do even better with writing what I'm thinking rather than talking. I've just begun the study. Late getting started. Very busy. I love my church, I love working in it. I attend the Nazarene church that Chantel does and we are friends working together often in the ministries. I help her with our teen quizzing, the Caravan program that our children seem to really love, and we do too. Chantel has been instrumental in doing so much of the work that it took to get the program off the ground. It takes work but the rewards are already seen. I also am missionary director at our church. Educating and keeping people aware of our missionaries and the needs around the world are at the heart of my service to God. We have no children, but I feel like all children that are in my presence are my responsibility. I have a preteen niece and nephew that I help their mother guide through this life and spend much time in prayer for their future. I apppreciate the jobs that God's called me to do. He doesn't need me to do them, someone else could, but I need them to grow and mature in his service. I am looking forward to the study and pray that God changes lives through it as I've seen him do with so many of Beth's studies.
